RLE Team

The Red List of Ecosystems (RLE) is developed and implemented jointly by the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management (CEM) and the IUCN Science and Data Centre, in collaboration with the IUCN Species Survival Commission (SSC).

The RLE is governed by four interacting committees with specific functions: (i) the Steering Committee, (ii) a Committee for Scientific Standards (CSS); (iii) a Database Management Committee; and (iv) a Red List of Ecosystems Partnership Committee. It is supported by the Red List of Ecosystems Thematic Group of the CEM, which is a group of volunteer experts that undertake diverse duties in support of the objectives of the RLE.
