The Latin American and Caribbean Section (LACA) of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB), in union with the University of the West Indies of Trinidad and Tobago, are organizing the Latin American and Caribbean Congress for the Conservation Biology 2018 (LACCCB-2018).
This event will feature the participation of numerous professionals dedicated to science and the practice of the conservation of biological diversity, gathered to address the challenges of conservation and present new findings, initiatives, methods, tools and opportunities for collaboration in science and the practice of conservation.
The Red List of Ecosystems (RLE) will also participate there with a presentation by José R. Ferrer-Paris (Risk of ecosystem collapse under different scenarios of management as a measure of conservation opportunities and challenges), within the symposium An insight into the Orinoco Mining Arc: its implications for Venezuela and the eastern Caribbean (organized by the Venezuelan Society of Ecology).
Scientists, students, decision makers, writers and other conservation professionals are invited to participate in this event.
