We already have a month of contest!

The IUCN, International Union for Conservation of Nature, has organized the Third IUCN Red List of Ecosystems Photo Contest – Ecosystems at the Crossroad in order to raise awareness of our planet’s ecosystems diversity.

We already have a month of competition and we have received very interesting photographs, but we are missing yours!

We are looking for images of ecosystems around the world, divided in two categories: Wild Beauty and Changing World, as individual photos or as series of photos.

For the category Wild Beauty we seek ecosystems in natural conditions, free of human intervention or contamination. While for Changing World we look for ecosystems that have been in some way impacted or altered through human intervention or contamination, either positively or negatively.

If you have interesting images of our planet, what do you expect to participate? You do not have to be a professional photographer; it is a competition for amateurs. Your photos could be exposed in Hawai'i at the IUCN World Conservation Congress.

Contest rules are available on our website at:

You have until June 30th to sign up, don’t be left out!
