Assessing ecosystem collapse risk of fringe mangroves in ecosystems dominated by foundation species
Posted by: Provita in Publications, RLE - June 15, 2018, 1:25 p.m.
This study investigates the robustness and adequacy of the IUCN Red List of Ecosystems (RLE)’s approach when performing risk assessments using a fringe mangrove ecosystem as a case study, as well as the identification of ecosystems which are more vulnerable to global environmental change.

Defining the appropriate spatial scale for robust estimates of risks to species and ecosystems
Posted by: Provita in Publications, RLE - May 17, 2018, 10:02 a.m.
IUCN scientists demonstrate that estimates of the Area of Occupancy (AOO) at scales proportional to the spatial extent of the threats are robust predictors of risks to biodiversity.
