The winners of the first round of the Second IUCN Red List of Ecosystems Photo Contest will be notified on October 31st 2014
On October 31st 2014 (Caracas (UTC/GMT -4:30 h), the winners of the first round of the Second IUCN Red List of Ecosystems Photo Contest will be announced by email and publicly announced through the social networks (Facebook and Twitter). Chosen participants will have the opportunity to move on to the second round of the contest in which a qualified jury will choose three (3) overall winners (first, second, and third place) for each of the contest categories (Wild Beauty and The Changing World). Furthermore, an (1) additional winner will be chosen by the assistants to the exhibition of the photos that qualified in the first round at the “Nature Based Solutions” pavillion during the IUCN World Parks Congress, to be held at Sydney, Australia from November 12th to 19th 2014. The competition winners will be announced in the “Nature-Based Solutions” pavillion on November 18th, and also through the IUCN Red List of Ecosystems website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts. Thank you to everyone that sent their photos for the Second IUCN Red List of Ecosystems Photo Contest! The registration period has officially closed. We are thrilled to announce that more than 200 photos, of ecosystems from all around the world, are participating. All submitted photos are now available in the contest’s album on Facebook, in its two categories, so we invite everyone to vote massively this week. The opportunity to choose your favorite photos will close at the end of the week, according to the geographic region, as follows:
